Deodorizing Rugs and Carpets

Regular vacuuming
Odors can be caused by dirt which has accumulate in the fibers of your carpet. Various items from food stuff to dirt from the soles of your footwear can gather in the carpet. These things do not only stain the carpet bur can also cause a foul odor. In order to avoid this, it is best to clean the carpet daily even by simply running the vacuum cleaner through.
Deodorant mix
In case you really have to deal with carpet odors, there’s one handy deodorant mix that you can use. The good thing about it is that this item is found among your household products. Baking soda is a potent mix which can eliminate foul odors in your carpet. You might want to add a few drops of essential oil of your desired scent into the powder. This would help make the carpet or rug smell even better.
Applying deodorant
The baking soda deodorant is applied to the carpet by simply sprinkling it all over in powder form. Allow it to stay for about fifteen minutes in order for it to be able to absorb all the foul odors.
